Review by Ilia Belorukov in Musicworm (translated from Russian):
“The album is very well constructed, and sometimes you don’t even notice the transition from one duet to another; the narrative simply follows its own course, forming the album itself. And this despite the fact that each duet plays in its own way, and the instrumentation is very extensive, from acoustic instruments to electronic ones and everything in between. The music itself is very different, although all this is within the framework of the improvisation scene of our days. This is a great merit of Dimos, not only as the compiler of the album, but also as a musician. He uses the violin (with pedals) mostly pizzicato, thus leaving a lot of space for the partner, and for each of them adjusting their playing style. The partners, in turn, do not have time to pull the blanket over themselves, because of the format of short pieces. The music remains Dimos’s music, but it is also the music of each individual duet. Great job!”
